VOLUNTEERS

P-44_AA_Legacy_of_Service_ONLINE

District 25 is seeking volunteers to help the still-suffering alcoholic.

“Our Twelfth Step — carrying the message — is the basic service that the A.A. Fellowship gives; this is our principal aim and the main reason for our existence. Therefore, A.A. is more than a set of principles; it is a society of alcoholics in action. We must carry the message, else we ourselves can wither, and those who haven’t been given the truth may die.” by Bill W.

Would you like to give back what was so freely given to you and be of service to others?

If you are a member of District 25 with one year or more of sobriety, we invite you to volunteer and help carry the message of recovery.

There are many ways to be of service, including:

  • Visiting treatment centres to organize or speak at meetings

  • Going into corrections facilities to share your experience, strength, and hope

  • Answering the 1-800 help line when someone reaches out for support

  • Responding to the chat feature on our website

  • Helping those leaving treatment or relocating cities by bridging the gap to meetings and supporting newcomers as they get settled

If you are interested, please talk with your sponsor and seek their guidance. When you are ready, complete the form below, and we will connect you with the appropriate chairperson to begin the process.

Together, we can help reach the alcoholic who is still suffering.
